Devo muito ao projeto ProAcolher e à professora doutora Lúcia Maria Barbosa (coordenadora do projeto) pelo meu envolvimento com refúgio e imigração. Conheci o projeto durante uma disciplina na graduação em Design e me apaixonei. Comecei a participar do projeto no fim de 2016, quando virei a fotógrafa do projeto. Depois, por causa da minha graduação em Letras, virei monitora e professora de Português como Língua de Acolhimento.
Apesar de não ter auxílio financeiro para o projeto, a professora Lúcia é uma guerreira e não deixa seus alunos desamparados. Muitas vezes, com a câmera na mão, fotografei os eventos de abertura e fechamento do semestre, assim como duas vezes montei um estúdio fotográfico portátil para tirar retratos dos alunos. As fotos a seguir foram tiradas ao longo dos anos e já foram expostas.

I owe a lot of my professional life with refuge and immigration to ProAcolher project and to professor Lúcia Maria Barbosa.(the project coordinator). I got to know the project through a undergraduate class while my studies in Design and I fell in love with it. I started volunteering there in the end of 2016, when I became the project's photographer. After that, due to my major in Portuguese, I became a teacher assistant and a teacher of Portuguese as a Host Language later.
Even though the project has no financial aid, professor Lúcia is a very strong coordinator e never gives up on the students. Many times, with a camera on hand, I took photos of the opening and closing events of each course semester, and I also set up a mobile studio to take the students' portraits. The photos below were took through the years 2016 to 2019 and many were part of photo exhibitions.
